New car Delivery delays Due to Covid.

Featured Replies

Is anyone else desperately waiting and wondering when they might get their new car.

My new Kodiaq was ordered early Feb, the latest update I have is Status 30, so it’s built.   The dealer says I might get it by the end of June, but I think he is being a bit optimistic as I believe their is quite a backlog at the factory and at Emden.

Has anyone had any good news, or even picked up a car since lockdown.

Had my scala a week.  It arrived at the dealers just before lockdown however.  Things ARE starting to move though.

I've not had any news about my Superb iV ordered late February. Dealer is waiting for the system to update

We've got a new Kamiq, ordered nearly 6 weeks ago. It was a stock car in emden, now in sheerness for nearly 3 weeks. Still no delivery date to the dealer. Really taking the mick.

My new Vauxhall leased from Motability was due for delivery to the dealership the day after lock down was called.

Once the dealership opened i was asking where it was and was given some pretty poor excuses.

2 weeks ago i was a bit more pee'd off so pushed a salesperson to find where it was.

Turned out that it got 'overlooked' in a compound and was not signed off to be released.

It arrived at the Dealership last Tuesday afternoon and needs a PDI.

No trained technician available to PDI an EV so there it sits 1 mile away from my home.

Offski for 2 weeks so not really bothered anymore, and if i can be bothered i will be in touch with the Dealership when i am back home.

Our dealer said around 4 weeks, we ordered it after lock down had ended, just phoned him and apparently there are 2 customers with the same order number and ours is still not in the uk. Someone has made a big booboo. We've now told them that we don't want a new one till the new registration. Let's see if they can get it right this time. Not a great start to skoda life tbh.

Being fair it’s probably not the SKODA Delivery chain at fault here. I am dealing with DVSA and three councils and they are all still working from home... I bet customs are the same!
