Citigo 2nd service prices

Featured Replies

Two separate Skoda dealers within 20 miles of each other.

£189 or £295.

Difficult choice?

Even £189 is a rip off, I paid £129 and that was steep imo for a glorified oil and filter change.

Totally agree (oh and a wash and brush up!).

2nd Service, but at how many miles?  Is it a 2 year old car, so getting not much?

What is it actually getting done for £184 or £295??

Are they fitting an Air Filter & Spark plugs.     Was the Pollen Filter done, and if done now is that with the £184 service?

Actually a Major Service and parts changed.

3 plugs not 4 and half as much oil as a big car....

Use Groupon to service your car. Around £50.

Finally managed to book my parents 18 plate Monte Carlo in for its belated second service at Pulman Skoda, cars done 4600 miles & all that is renewed are oil filter & pollen filter, & the price.........£214! Parents are retiring from driving next year so car will go back to Volkswagen finance before it's 3rd service & Mot are due.

To be honest I don't know what they do for £189,I should ask really.

I understand they have overheads and staff to pay but it's still a lot of money for very little work in my opinion.

Where do we stand with the Skoda warranty if we have it serviced elsewhere?

Obviously it wouldn't be on their systems either at trade in time, probably devaluing it.

(Car has done 14k by the way).

Well I got the first 3 services done at main dealer but once the warranty is up I cannot see a reason to stick with them if you can find a good independent, which is what I'll be doing for the next one.

@RickW  The Manufacturers Warranty is valid if the Servicing is at a VAT Registered Premises (still is if not VAT Registered) & using OEM Parts.

Maybe there is a VW Specialist near you with all the gear, so licensed equipment with TPI's and access to put the Service on the system, & more than just an idea.

Service record of stuff done with invoices worth more to many buyers than a FMDSH/ Full Main Dealer Service History that shows how little they did.

Not a FMDSH is only an issue when a Main Dealer is taking in a car, funnily when selling one not so.

Simpsons 'Goodwill gestures' out of Warranty are likely not worth much anyway.

Who said Simpsons lol😄

The cheaper one is RRG Bolton by the way which are very good in my opinion.

Maybe they will be good enough then to do it for less money than they would charge to do a Skoda Superb.

Maybe Simpsons thought I said Superb and not Citigo. I laughed out loud when she told me the price.
