Hopefully a very quick yes/no question.

 

I'm going to remove the OEM Amundsen screen, climate controls and USB/Aux panel to fit wireless charger and wireless CarPlay. 
 

If I disconnect the screen and when finished, reconnect it, will CP kick in. On my MKII, the canbus would recognise the original unit and carry on as normal. Is it the same for a MKIII, MY18.

The screen isn’t CP monitored anyway, only the radio and yes you can unplug and plug it in as much as you want as the CP is tied to the car. It knows when the correct radio is plugged in so it’ll be fine.
