Bose Audio Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone.

I have a 2009 Mk 2 Superb Elegance 170TDi Cr DSG Hatchback.  I have done the Bluetooth Module Update and it works fine with the Columbus Headunit.

I am wondering if anyone has upgraded with the Bose Set-up (Amp, Speakers, Sub) from the Audi equivalent cars.  I’m not dying I need Bose, just looking at ways to upgrade the Audio without showing I’ve done it.

🙂

Do you have Sound System now?

I have the standard system with the newer Bluetooth Module to connect to iPhone XS Max.

It’s lovely and a better system than in my last 2 Octavia’s, however I know the Bose’ system is better and potentially a nice upgrade.

I am afraid Bose system will not work as expected in Superb - in Audi woofers are located in the front and overall number of speakers in different. If you don't want to show what you have done then my proposal is:

1. install vibration damping matts inside the doors

2. replace speakers, I recommend Gladen Audio One 165 SQX for both front and rear

3. add digital sound processor and 8 channel amplifier, I am very pleased with STEG SDSP8

4. tune new system to your preferences

Estimated cost 1200-1500 GBP.
