Mk2 pfl intermittent cruise control goes off brings on esp light

Hi guys

Hoping for some help. My cruise control has been a bit tempremental since changing the clutch pedal master cylinder. I could live with that not to bad.

 

Today i was driving to work had the cruise control on at 50 it went off and the esp light has come on.

 

I know i havd worn wheel bearings at the rear would this cause the cruise control to switch off of they deviate from the front speed sensors. 

 

This has made me think its a mechanical problem rather than electrical. Plus dont really want to pull all the wiring apart

Check what fault codes you have

 

A worn wheel bearing certainly feels like it could upset an ABS sensor.
