Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor

Hi, can anyone help me with the location of the longitudinal acceleration sensor Skoda superb 2.0TDI CR 170 DSG SE please. Had the glove box out but still can't find it. Do I need to have a look at the steering column area? Thanks in advance 👍

It's probably built into the ABS module assuming you have a MK60EC1 varient installed

Thanks for the reply. Ah crap😭how do I check if I have a MK60EC1? As far as I can see my abs part number is 1KO 614 517 AE

1K0614517AE is the hydraulic side, there will be another part number on the base of the black plastic bit. Looking on eBay, it's commonly attached to 1K0907379AC which is a earlier MK60 ABS pump.

 

If so, the sensor pack may be located under the drivers seat?

I have the same issue. G251 longitudinal acceleration sensor location on the superb mk2. Does anyone know for sure where this is please?

@k21pilot, did you find it under the seat? I am still at a loss as to where this is on my car.

No bud, I think its part of the abs control unit as its the ec1 unit. Mine is going into the garage tomorrow. If yours is not the ec1 unit it might be under the center console between the gear shift and handbrake lever.

Thanks for that. I'll take a look later on. I can't believe how hard it is to find when it seems to be so easy on the Octavia!

**Update**

All sensors and abs control module were fine, it was the rear wheel bearing magnetic ring that was broken. I fitted a new wheel bearing and all dash light are out👍👍

Funnily enough I've got a bit of a bearing hum from the back at the moment too. Thanks for this, I'll be replacing mine this week. I'll keep everyone posted as to whether it fixes for me too.

No worries. Remenber to replace the speed sensor as well bud as it'll most likely be damaged👍

Hi All, A quick update on this... Turns out the longitudinal acceleration sensor itself had failed and is actually built into the ABS module. New one required for me :(
