2013 1.6tdi to 1.9 130 Bhp ASZ ...POSSIBLE ???

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have got myself into a right old pickle....

First of all I would like to explain.....

A couple of years ago, I fitted an ASZ 130 Bhp Engine & box into a 2008 skoda fabia that was as standard a  1.4 tdi...

And all went swimmingly......NOT      But it was just a little patience required...

It was only 1 wire if I remember correctly...Which I remedied by just fitting a piggy back fuse in the fusebox.

However

Last year I bought a 2013 1.6 tdi (   Engine )  Which I have actuallyremoved, fitted the 1.9 130 Bhp ASZ engine, along with replacing the front subframe from a MK1 vrs.

I kind of attempted to decipher  the pin codes on  ...  AUTODATA  ... & I switched around the pins to suit the pin outs for 1.9.... As I had deemed Correct.

But Alas The Car actually starts & drives, Mainly I have an issue with the fact that the has no boost & an engine management light on.

SO

I have been out & stripped the wiring out of another 1.4 tdi from the engine bay to the fusebox along with all the associated plugs to the comfort module. & the central locking module.

I Honestly was under the impression that I could just find the relevant Pins at the module etc and just swap the 1 attached to the loom for the originals in the car as & where required.

But it also appears that the comfort modules are different ...with different plugs.

SO

       In Short.....

Does ANYONE have Access to any kind of literature that would enable me to identify where to locate these wires on the Loom... ?????

Any advise would be much appreciated..

Why if the 1.6 can take good power?

I never knew that the 1.6 could take that much power.

I have been so impressed with every 130bhp 1.9 tdi vehicle that I have had... No reliability issues to mention... Yet you hear so many problems from the 1.6 & 2.0 Engines that I have stuck with what I know works.

I got 263bhp and 400ft lbs out of my 1.6 before it bent rods. Now on 304bhp and 425ft lbs in a 2 litre that got fitted.

But a stock 1.6 would have boost and no engine light? - Dont fix what isnt broken...
