Central Locking jammed locked and wipers stay on intermittent

Featured Replies

All the doors on my 2015 Fabia locked and wouldn't reopen. Fortunately the hatchback door still opened and I was able to climb in and drive it to a  EuroSkoda dealer.

They said they had to remove the inner door to access the lock which needed replacing which also sorted the rear near side door. To do the same on the offside the front passenger door lock also needed replacing.

At the same time my wipers would not turn off but remained on intermittent. They said the stalk needed replacing.

Total cost £700 and they still can't explain why all the doors locked, I suspect this could occur again as the cause was not identified. Get rid of it I say to myself which I will. Skoda have major electrical problems and the main dealers are useless. Poor service. My previous car was a Toyota and customer care and service was 5 star, Skoda is barely 1star both purchasing and serving

You are dealing with employees of some company that have a Skoda dealership.   That is not Skoda though.

It's just typical of many modern mechanics; they plug in the diagnostics and if the diagnostics fail to identify the fault, the mechanics (technicians) are hopeless at diagnosing anything. So they just replace everything.
