Hi all well had a lot of problems with this car and after a few hundred pound it was sorted no light on dash cruse and start stop working perfect well last month another problem it started to loose water lucky enough it was the water pump so i paid around £250 for cam belt kit which included water pump and labour (sale of the century ) the car drives and runs perfect apart from the start stop dose anyone have an idea what it could be

thanks for the information my brother bought a new battery a month a go and i nicked it of him the old battery was 68 ah an the 1 i put on was 78 ah done 60 Miles and start stop is working perfectly  cant believe a battery can cause a start stop failure 

It can and will! From what I have seen, a stop/start system wants at least 70% of full battery charge, to function otherwise it bypasses and reverts to normal drive function. You should also have a higher rated (And more expensive) Battery, to accommodate!
