Has anyone got any idea as to why the brake pedal on my 06 Octavia Lauren Klement has become slow to release? If I press the brake fully it can take up to 2 seconds to completely release and a second or more to release if I’ve slowed down. You can actually watch the pedal rise after you’ve pressed it!  I’ve had it into a local garage and they’re “baffled” by it, so any advice would be helpful. 

I was going to say possibly contamination in the master cylinder preventing free movement but there's no direct link at the servo to affect pedal return.

 

Check and lube the pedal return spring/pivot.

 

Ask another garage re possible servo damage.
