Sat navs

Featured Replies

Good afternoon!Ā

Really struggling here and wondering if someone can help.Ā

Just started a new job and been given a skoda octavia 19 plate uk model and registered. The job requires alot of travelling to places that dont necessarily have postcodes or are even on maps due to the nature of the work. Problem is that there is over 500 locations that they have given me via an excel spreadsheet.Ā

Ā

So... is there any way I can simply upload this data onto my satnav without painstakingly manually entering them?Ā

Thanks alot, over and out!Ā

Not too sure about an easy way but What3words together with Android Auto or Car Play would give you an ultra exact way.Ā

What format are the locations in?Ā

If you know someone with a bit of software ability they can build a .GPX file with these as waypoints or similar. This you can load into a satnav.Ā

Got a neighbour with a bored teenager who needs a project to do on their Raspberry Pi? Bribe him with beerĀ

I'll try the what3words route and see how I get on...Ā

I have tried to go down the route of saving the coordinates as a .csv file to then load that onto a usb. However it cant distinguish the exact locations and is getting some mixed up! I dont fancy going to Norway when I asked for Inverness šŸ˜‚Ā

I'm an engineer so using a computer isn't difficult but this is proving to be!
