Replacing Camshaft

Hello,

I've decided Im going to replace a camshaft on my 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine I want to know if it would at all be possible to replace the camshaft and not the tappets and rocker arms as I understand they ae rollers and would likely be not be too worn, is anyone able to say whether this would screw the breathing of the engine compared to the exhaust.
