Does the breakdown cover you get cover you in Europe, or will someone sting me for a bit extra?

When my turbo blew in Germany I was picked up by ADAC, the local breakdown service, taken to a hotel & the next day the car went into the closest Skoda dealer for a new turbo & motor. Excellent service. I only had to pay for new oil in the motor.
