AC problem , sometimes working on and off

Featured Replies

Hello,

I own Skoda Fabia TSI 1.2 2010.

In the last month my AC is sometimes working and blowing cool air , and sometimes it's just throwing  an air out .

i went to a skoda workshop and they replaced the compressor but it didn't solve the problem . They checked the electricity connection to the compressor and everything is fine.

can you please advice what the problem could be .

thanks

Nitzan

It could just be the temperature flap motor that is faulty, I've had that on a VW Group car, demanding Hi and then a couple of minutes later demanding Lo and repeat this quite a lot of times, that can sometimes clean up the potentiometer contact or track and get it back to working okay for a few hours/days/weeks.  If that does help, I'm very surprised that your Skoda dealership did not read the A/C controller memory for faults before doing any changing of parts - or maybe this has just failed?

Thank you for your comment.

From what i know , my Skoda dealership connected to the car computer and get an electric fault at the A/C system but not a specific error message on the system itself.

However, if the temperature flat motor is faulty , does this mean that the air conditioner will work intermittently while driving or it means that once you start the car and turn on the AC, it will "determine" whether it will work or not?

because i experience the second scenario.

thanks,

Nitzan
