I know that this is a hot topic, so apologies if I'm covering old ground.

 

I've just received a call from the dealer who's told me that the car I've put a deposit down on can't have a camera fitted as it is the 2020 model (69 plate) as the system isn't capable of having the camera added, although the older models can?

 

Has anyone experienced this before?

So how did they fit one in the factory to my 19 reg?  You'd think that it already has the wiring, simply needs the correct module activating and if required, holes drilling. 

My thoughts exactly. 

 

Not sure whether this is something that they don't want to do as opposed to not being able to do it. 

 

Apparently they plugged it into the system and it didn't come up with the correct code/gateway to code it to.
