Well well... if it isn’t my old nemesis! Mods is it you seek? This must mean I have power over you! I will therefore challenge you to a duel (on the 1/4mile)... I demand satisfaction! Do you humbly accept?

RARB + FARB will help reduce tyre wear, if you like blasting round fast roundabouts

Sorry to be a pain just wondering if you had any eBay or superskoda links to the cruise control or underseat.storage to fit passenger side MK2 vrs 2012. Couple of mods I'm thinking of doing.

The ones I've done are nearly all non mechanical. Cheaper but tasteful black front lip to match the grill, pop down sunglasses holder, automatic lights, whiter halogen bulbs, obd head up display.

Mostly for driver comfort but I'm all happy with it so far

I run Torque pro on my phone to keep an eye on my boost/water temp/voltage. Best sub £20 "Mod" I ever got. Can show codes and clear them, everything!

Both the factory Cruise control kit and seat storage were purchased from a dealer, and they were cheaper than on EBay and these "specialist" VAG places...........Always worth ringing a dealer and even asking for a discount.

So l got a Skoda Fabia from 2007 with abt 80 000 miles and dents on the driver's side. I looked at the radio it's so ancient. I got some half leather seats from eBay and spent whole afternoon battling with them, the front ones actually. I think they are done. Few pictures are below.

I was thinking mayb I should just go the whole way.

1. Stich on a leather cover for the steering wheel as the original one l feel is too slippery for my liking. I was thinking of black colour with grey thread. Max £20 from eBay.

2. Upgrade the Satnav radio system. I am not sure to do the Columbus route or do the Android tablet route. The tablet one is cheaper. Advise here will be welcome.Max £200.

3. Sort the outside dents of the car. I have quoted abt £200, essentially getting two new doors is cheaper than panel beating the dents.

Stitch on steering wheels can take ages to put on if they are the ones im thinking of. Maybe you could find a monte carlo or vrs steering wheel and airbag from a breakers as they are leather and I would imagine the airbag would just plug and play.

If you are looking for a radio you can try the rcd330 afaik it is nearly a plug and play upgrade over the standard swing stereo.

Could you show us some pics of the outside so we can see what you are on about? A dent can mean different things for different people.

I was being a bit conservative about the dents, as you can see from the pictures below. About the colour,  yes it's the same car, that's supposed to be grey.

The steering wheel l have no knowledge of removing and replacing it. I notice they have "empty" steering wheels on ebay. Will it not require a professional to put airbag into the other steering wheel.

Just replace the doors you can reuse your glass, motors and interior door cards. If you get lucky  you might find a set of doors in your colour at a breakers.  In my opinion those doors are too far gone to be worthwhile to fix.

+1 on the cruise control, If you do any sort of motorway driving it can be very nice to have.

Oh and the steering wheel is easy enough to replace you just have to be careful. only thing is you need a 12 spline bit to get the wheel off. Also the steering wheel and airbag may be sold separately. You might have some luck getting an upholsterer (?) to do the steering wheel leather on your old wheel. Or maybe you could buy an identical wheel to yours, get it done and swap it over? Just guessing.

The half leather seats came with the interior door panels. I was thinking l replace those two doors first, then put the "new" interior door panels.

Thanks for the tip on the steering wheel upholstery.

To be fair, the car is not that bad. This is just me wanting to go over the top on a car for the first time in my life cause l picked the Fabia below market value, l believe.

Aside from the doors it does look like a nice example. any other plans for it or will you just fix what needs fixing and enjoy it as it is?

The driver side doors have now been fixed.

For now I will breathe a bit and do the entertainment later.

Beyond that I would love to put MFSW.

sounds daft but do the stowage draws generally fit quite easily and presuming they fit the vrs left passenger seat fine?

nothing too special just a cheap rubber lip attatched to the bottom, still plenty of clearance, there are some proper, composite or fake carbon ones that look a lot nicer but didn't want to spend a lot and to be honest personally i think it works subtle enough not to look garish but adds to the black grill and pillars/mirrors that are standard with the car.

Would a mk1 underseat stowage drawer fit a mk2? My mk1 came with them and I still have the original seats,Granted they are grey and not black but I could always paint them black.

easy to fit,

undo seat bolts, tilt the seat backwards onto rear seat being careful of seat belt tensioner loom, screw in new stowage, refit seat.

I have one under both front seats.
