New Octavia on the way

Featured Replies

I called into my local dealer on the way home and ended up ordering a shiny new Octavia 2.0 TDI elegance complete with sunroof and tyre pressure monitor. :D

The first was an essential option , the second not , but as it was the only car in the right spec available it had to be done.

Not sure when it will arrive , and I now need to find a loan to pay for it :(

Direct line are doing 5.6% apr which is as cheap as I'll get anywhere else.

Just go to make the effort of applying ;

It's pretty dangerous this just dropping by the dealers business.

I know, last time I "popped in" for a washer jet to be fixed, ended up buying a new car!!!!. Nice one though Dr:thumbup: , what colour you getting?.

Silver.

Not my first choice , but any other colour would have been a special order with several months wait , and when I'm spending shed loads I want something to show for it straight away :D

:iagree: My local dealer has a lovely blue Octavia vRS, I try to avoid even driving past the showroom in case temptation gets the better of me :D

Check www.fool.co.uk for loan rates too, but I can't see anyone else beating 5.6%

Steve

Which local dealer are you getting it from?

All Electric.

They were doing them at cost price again , so I couldn't really argue with that and got a decent trade in for the old one.

Enjoy.Nothing wrong with silver still.Trying to pursuade the wife her Fabia vRS needs changing for an Octavia vRS estate.Presume these aren't on the 'at cost' list again?

Happy new car motoring

I don't dislike silver but a choice of colour would have been nice.

I saw a silver estate this morning and it did look very smart so I'm not going to be unhappy with it.

As for the "cost price" thing , they'd sent out invitations to their existing customers and were claiming that it was 1 day only , but it was for every skoda including the octy vrs

You'll have to learn how to use indicators again though Jane. ;):D

I had that same invite sent to me, though with my name spelt wrong i might add. It would have been nice to take them up on it but really can't afford too. :(

The silver is a nice colour and i'm not just saying that because i've got a silver car myself. You should definitely enjoy it.

Simply calling in to the dealer is made a whole lot worse when they offer you a car for the weekend so you can spend 2 days falling for it
