Just bought a 2018 Mk3 facelift vRS. There doesn't seem to be any drive mode selection? Is it not standard or vrs models?

It's accessed via the VRS button on the centre console 

No button there other than start stop, traction control and lock.

Are there  different specs in the ROI?

I didnt think so, there must be though. I find it odd. The dealer even said when test driving it had drive mode selection!

Is it on the radio as a car setting instead? 

No I've searched fairly thoroughly. Fairly disappointed tbh

That's true but they can show you how to access it.

It’s no that hard to add it if you’re a dealer I wouldn’t think...

This is really odd. I’d agree to ask dealer to show you how to add it. The drive mode selection is really a key part of a vRS As it allows different wait of steering , throttle response and sound and the dealer has sold the car on this basis.

What does VRS mode t do to the sound then?

Just notice you have heated seats.  Strange spec to have those but no mode button.

Its an odd combo alight. As JD52 pointed out, could just a mad ROI spec🤦🏼‍♂️

My 2016 SE has 10 buttons there. All but 3 are blanks. And it does have drive mode selection on one. An emissions issue in ROI?

Yeah it very well could be. I had a 2015 elegance and it didnt have it either. I may contact the garage and see can they shed some light on it

Not unusual,  as Tom Jones sang, 

that ROI vehicles do not have Standard or even Optional Equipment that UK vehicles have.

Mk2 Fabia vRS in the UK had paddle shifters while the ones imported to the ROI did not.

The up side is that cars converted to light goods vehicles are sometimes available in the RoI that are not imported when new to the UK.

 Was genuinely expecting an 'Irish' joke there about paddle shifters only being fitted to manuals or something.
