Can anyone give me more info re code 4680 on 2000 model Fabia 1.4 8v please. Car did have water leak now cured. Gendan reader gives 4680 and will clear fault but it returns.

There is nothing remotely like it in Bentley Publishers list of VW DTCs below:

Gendan code 4680 translates as fault code 18048 - Internal Contr.Module (EEPROM) Error. I recommend that you register on Gendan's site here for assistance with looking up OBD-II, EOBD and VAG trouble code definitions.

Where was the water leak? It could be that an ECU has suffered from water ingress.

Thanks. The water leak was a leaking water pump gasket. When the level fell it tripped the engine light. The Gendan reader clears codes if you let it cycle through the routine 3 times, but it returns after a short time.

Sad to say thats a new engine ECU, seen that a few times on the 1.4 8v.
