2010 Fabia Swing Radio No Handsfree Calls

Featured Replies

Hi Team!

My first post on here after reading through many posts anonymously.

I have a 2010 Fabia VRS that I brought recently, I wasn't expecting it to have bluetooth when I took it for a test drive so was pleasantly surprised that it does.

My problem is although I can stream music to the Swing Radio I can't have a useful conversation on the phone as no sound comes out when on a call. The car has a Maxidot and I can select contacts and accept calls on the stalk. the Person on the other end of the phone can hear me OK so must have a microphone but its as if the swing radio doesn't recognise that I'm on a phone call so doesn't stop the radio and play the phone convo through the speakers. The steering wheel controls don't change the song playing on bluetooth either so don't know if its linked?

This sounds similar to me but he didn't get it fixed :(

So Far I've disconnected the battery as a hard reset.

removed the swing radio and wiggled all the connecters and unplugged and plugged it back in.

deleted all the phones and tried again on mine and my girlfriends phone.

I've looked underneath both front seats and lifted the rear bench but so far not been able to locate the bluetooth module.

Do I need to find someone with VCDS in the surrey area next to plug in?

Is this normal for a Swing Radio?

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

does anyone have any ideas what might be going wrong?

So fixed it eventually, turns out there is a hidden menu when you press and hold the right hand knob. From there you can then set various things and turn functions on/off like phone and Bluetooth playback. Pretty simple in reality. User manual below was helpful.
