Brake pedal vibrations

Featured Replies

HI all,

My <1 month old Superb facelift 190ps TSI with a 7 speed wet clutch has some vibrations on the brake pedal.

Usually, these vibrations can be felt when I take my foot off the accelerator and rest it on the brake pedal but without depressing it.   They are intermittent and not continuous.  Right now, thinking about it as I am typing this, I wonder if it is somehow related to the gearbox downshifting as the car is in the midst of slowing down.

As my car is still new, these vibrations are rather concerning.

I know of someone who has a similar experience on his equally new car.  He has bought it back to the dealer and their conclusion thus far is that the vibrations are normal.   From what I can recall when testing the dealership's test car, I did not feel the brake pedal vibrations so I am a bit skeptical of the dealership's diagnosis of it being normal.

Appreciate if other owners here can share your experience and advice.  Thank you very much.
