Tdi vrs fuel pipe leak

Featured Replies

So, this morning there was a wet patch behind the drivers front wheel, when I got back from work a strong smell of diesel, looking under the bonnet of of the fuel lines running back from the filter towards the coolant tank was damp, i pushed down on it and it seemed to click into place. Had the car a couple of months and the cambelt was changed before I collected, does anyone know if these pipes would have been disconnected for cambelt change?

thanks

Andy

Looking at their position, if I was doing the timing belt I would probably be tempted to unclip them and move them out of the way

Thanks buddy, I’m guessing what’s happened is it wasn’t quite clipped on completely and has gradually worked loose, luckily it seems far back enough not to have dropped any diesel on the auxiliary belt
