Is it possible to use a postcode instead of an address to set a location on 2016 L&L Columbus Nav System?

 

yes, not as easy as it should be. When you go to the address entry page, there is a button for P.code?

This is curious because up until a few weeks ago I could type a postcode into the initial top search box on the Columbus and it would find the code and suggest and address automatically. This doesn't work any more.

 

So, to use a postcode....

 

1. Select "New dest"

2. On then screen that appears next tap on the "City" part

3. At the bottom left corner you should see a "Postcode" 

4. Tap "Postcode" and enter the code

I have a MY2021 SEL iV with the Amundsen head unit.. Haven't done much navigating as of late, but i've noticed the few post codes i've entered, it displays a long/lat coordinate as opposed to the street name.. is this normal?

Successfully followed your advise.

Looks like a software update has in fact been a user downgrade.
May suit the programmer but not user friendly.
