has anyone else who has been verified for skoda connect for the octavia been able to lock and unlock car or windows via app? I have not been able to at all ( no options) but this morning when i clicked it the options briefly came up and then went again??? Any ideas?

It turns out it depends in which country you are in. 😒 This is an official reply from Skoda. Mine doesn't work at all. I have them as an option to click upon, but it gives out a random error.

Here is what I get when I want to flash the car

Been lurking here as I am/was thinking of buying the new MK4 and at the moment reckon I will stick with my MK3 Pre FL Elegance, I do not need an 'App' to do what I want, like open or close the windows as I can at present do that with the key fob. If this app is the My Skoda App, the reviews on Play Store are extremely negative, is it the same or is Connect and My Skoda two individual apps?

 

I am not sure I will be happy with the HVAC being on screen with no actual knobs to select what I need to do. With my MK3 I can do all I need without taking my eyes off the road for more than a split second.

I would also like a 1.9 Petrol with IRS, DSG and 4WD but seems this is unlikely to hit our shores any time soon, if at all. Reading the thread of first impressions also indicates some other minor niggles. Perhaps I'd be best to wait until next year to give Skoda time to sort it out more. The dealer said only manuals are being produced but I am sure I read the DSG models are available, I cannot see Skoda only manuals until next year....

to be fair the app is just like a bonus you can still unlock and lock doors and open windows with key fob, as for the heating i just use the voice activation and that does it all for you. 

I just tried the honk and flash thing via the app and it worked fine. Quite entertaining actually as it was through the front window of my house and it made my wife jump as she was getting into her van parked next to it!

haha! I was actually meant to comment here last night, i messed with mine whilst parked up and all of a sudden it worked! Scared the life outa me 😂😂 but now working but my app did update yesterday thinking about it, still no lock or unlock though

I had to take my driving licence and email to the dealer so he could activate lock and unlock its for safety reasons (Kamiq) still skoda connect

yepp done this too, thats what i mean by verified. No idea then

I popped to my Dealer today and got my account verified, I still can't lock or unlock through the app. It's not a big deal, however annoying none the less that the car won't do something you were advised that it was meant to!
