Hi, first post in here so please be gentle with me.

I have just been given a 2003 Fabia automatic which as lots of the Fabia typical problems.

First one is to sort out the broken front electric window regulators.

Any advice on which of the many suppliers make the best quality replacements? Is it better to buy one with the metal carrier attached or just the regulator on its own?

Annoyingly mine has the carrier riveted on so I need to buy a pop riveter too.

Welcome to the site. Fitting a fully assembled new panel is easier. Any one off ebay is fine as they all seem the same.

I managed to get one from a scrapyard for £24 the other day, it's really good condition and works fine. I may have just got lucky but it's an option.

Also I used the video above which was really useful.

Thanks Chris_19. Unfortunately none in the local scrapyard around here but I will keep trying. 

May just get them off eBay as I need both and seeing as I still can't drive, awaiting spinal surgery, I have plenty of time yet 🙁

You can get a brand new one cheaper than that.

Yeah I know but this one came with a speaker which I needed as well (cheapest i've seen with a speaker is £75 on ebay), and I was in a rush so same day collection was useful too.
