any got information about  that repair cover/cap for headlights? skoda made thoose headlights total non-sense, to change bulb you need to cut a hole ! now need new repair cover, but local skoda dealer cannot find anything, and offered to buy new headlight for 700eur...

Well, I guess they've made it so that you have to cut a hole because the indicator bulb should last the lifetime of the car...

 

The dealer should be able to find the part... They are either not competent or are trying to deceive you. You could try another dealer. Alternatively, you can find the part number yourself on partslink24. You'll need to pay a 10 eur access fee for an hour's worth of access rights though.

Well, my dad has had his car for 20 years and has never changed the indicator bulbs...

Not certain this is the exact bulb used but this one is expected to last 12 years?

Save your money, I've checked partslink; the bloody thing is on the diagram but has no part number. Don't know what to say...

The former usually!!

 

My California for example has a couple of strips of 3M tape that the roof shuts down onto at the front. The only thing special about them is the shape so the fit the contour when peeling off the backing and applying them.

My dealer knows the part number but on the California forum many complain that their dealer cannot find the part number.

 

Anyway, clearly Skoda do expect the bulbs to last a life time on this planet (so fingers crossed they do).

ye, i found scheme... but same, no part number

yep, it is a weird thing from Skoda...

 

 

 

 

 

they give you the specifications for the bulb, but they also tell you it is not replaceble 😀
