Hi, I have a 2004/5 Octavia vRS.  It has recently started making a rasping noise on right hand bends and on bounces over bumpy roads. The noise is harsh on fast bends under full-ish throttle, soft noise under normal cornering and completely absent when cornering on trailing throttle.  Local garage has checked and confirms noise but unable to identify cause.  Any thoughts?

Rasping might suggest a wheel arch liner or undertray come undone and fluttering, bouncing might suggest worn out damper, variations on intensity might suggest CV joint.
