Our Superb 280 is coming up three years next summer. I had intended to take out Skoda's extended warranty, but I'm itching for a remap so I'm wondering if it's possible to buy a warranty somewhere else that would cover engine/gearbox of a mapped vehicle?

I have never seen or heard of one.

I think Superchips offer a warrantee if they chip it, the terms used to be quite extensive - but then I think they were in financial trouble recently.

I think I read someone had bought them over as a going concern, but that was a month or more ago as they put the company up for sale basically during lockdown. Most tuning company’s give a warranty of sorts with their maps against damage caused by the uprated parameters.
