Superb Sportline Plus - Electrically Adjustable Seats Option

Featured Replies

Hi all

First post here as a soon to be owner of a new Superb 272 Estate.

So I’m about to place an order on a new factory built Superb Estate, Sportline Plus 272 and used both the Skoda website build tool and Carwow to spec a model with the “electrically adjustable seats” option.

When it’s come to place this on an actual order form with the dealer though he advised a problem which indicated this option doesn’t seem to be available for selection on the Sportline Plus trim (contrary to Skoda build website).  He is currently investigating with Skoda.

Does anyone here know anything about this?  Anyone successfully specced this option on a Sportline plus? Any idea why it wouldn’t be available / what the standard Sportline Plus seats are like?

Thank you.

Is there any chance on the plus model it’s already standard and therefore you can’t add an option that the car already has?

The Sportline Plus just has an electric driver's seat with 3 position memory but a manual passenger seat.

Ahh yes I see that written in the standard spec now thanks.  So either the option is not available (and the Skoda website is in error) or it is available but maybe just applies to the making the passenger seat electric too?

Doesn’t seem worth the cost over the standard Sportline seats then.

Thanks

Think it is something like £600 extra to make the passenger seat electric. I owned a Sportline Plus before trading it in for my 2020 SEL Superb which although has heated front seats like the Plus they are leather yet only the driver's seat is electric still.

So this new car order is becoming a real pain now....

The dealer I’ve placed a deposit with last week still doesn’t know the full story behind the lack of ability to spec electric seats on the official order form.  Apparently no feedback received from Skoda in a few days.  As per above discussion, I’d be happy to de-spec this now but another issue has cropped up regarding wireless charging not being a selectable option either and (I think) he confirmed the side airbag (crew assist) pack too.  The spec I built on Skoda website and Carwow is just not selectable on the official order form.  Apparently affects another order he is dealing with too.

Out of curiosity, I went back on Carwow just now and for some reason the 272 4x4 option has disappeared.......

When speccing my MY19 back in 2018  (In Sweden) I remember asking my dealer about this option and he told me the driver's seat is electrically adjusted with 3 memory slots as standard so the option concerned solely the passenger's seat, for which I decided it was too expensive to justify electrical adjustability :tongueout:  and I spent the money on other more appealing options.  Of-course trim levels vary between countries but from what I read it sounds as this is your case too (driver has it as standard, passenger at an extra cost).
