10j Porsche Rear wheels

Featured Replies

I've got a mk3 facelift vrs230. I'd like to fit a set of porsche wheels to it which are 9x19 et 60 front & 10x19 et61 rear. I've already got a set of 20mm hub adaptors so naturally my question is are the 10j wheels going to fit? Minor wheel poke I dont mind as long as it's not ridiculous & obviously the wheel/tyre doesn't hit the rear shocks. Tyre wise I wont be going wider than 235. Thankyou for your help

'Will they fit' seem to indicate a yay:

Nearly 60mm closer to the struts?

Forgive me gaz with having the 20mm spacer hub adaptors fitted that should bring the et figure back down to et41 from the Porsche et61 so in theory I need to measure my wheels that are on the car to see if theres enough room to alloy the new wheels to be 40mm closer-would that be correct?

Standard mk3 18s are 7.5J and ET51 rather than the 7J ET40 you've entered there.

Whilst I'm here, though I doubt the OP cares, 235s stretched on 10Js is what I would consider to be on the daft side. Typically you wouldn't want to go narrower than 255s on a 10J wheel IIRC.

Yeah, apologies, dunno where I got the 40 from.  I was just tapping figures into WTF?  Best not go by what I typed in :notme:

I wouldn't have thought 235's on 10's was sensible either.

Dont worry I forgot about the will it fit site tbh, I've bobbed in figures so just got to do a bit of measuring when its daylight & not raining! As for the 235 width tyres I can honestly say I know it's not ideal by any means, however I'm sure I've read that 245 width tyres catch so I'm having to go with the 235. On the plus side I'm no racer-I spend 6 days a week at work which is only a 15min drive away from home & should I choose to track day my car I've still got my original 19" Extreme wheels so for me it's not to much of a drama :)

Don't forget by any chance to post the pics of that stretch, please.
