Issue with electric boot switch.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. Apologies, I don't know what I did with this article.

I'm new to the forum, and indeed to Skoda ownership. I've recently bought a mkiii Superb SE-L Executive (Hatch). I absolutely love it, petrol blue with cream interior, such a lovely thing.

It has developed a bit of a niggling issue though. The boot close button on the inside of the boot lid intermittently stops working. It is really annoying, as obviously it doesn't close off the key or interior button.

Has anyone else seen this happen? I suspect it's just a lose wire / connector. I'm could probably take it back to the dealer, but if its a quick fix I'd rather just sort it myself.

I'm reasonably competent mechanically, but less so with electronics..

Any advice would be much appreciated.
