And you get that kind of fuel economy, do you constantly drive down hills and then get a tow on the way back up:P

Nope 1 week going to and from work is 296.6 miles and it takes 32 litres of fuel to cover that distance. (Same station, pump and amount each time). Worked out over 2 months. Stick that into this convertor

i thought the tank was 45 litres and 370miles full to the brim:confused:...or is it 35ltrs?

I refuel the car when I finish my shifts hence the regular mileage. 32l is just under 3/4 of the tank.

Another V reg owner!! Looks clean! Since it's a classic it wont have the MFA computer i take it? I dont know how accurate they are but I see an average of approx 35mpg on purely urban driving, I havent been on a run in mine , but I am sure that low 40s is easily obtainable given some sensible driving , seeing as how I once got 40MPG from my 99 1.8T SLXi Octy on a run from Newcastle to Berwick!! (Mind that was including some 40mph running in one of the worst thunderstorm monsoons I have ever seen!)
