Replaced the Drivers door wiring loom...now the Airbag warning light has come on! Help!!

Featured Replies

As above..

Replaced the drivers door wiring loom (with help from this website actually) and felt very pleased with myself.

But then, the Airbag warning light appeared :(

There is a gremlin in there - presumably as I was 'playing with the electrics' in the door.

The connections under the front seats are fine.

The fuse is fine.

I'm guessing its a job for an OBD2 reader - that I don't have.

Seems a waste of cash to take a trip to the garage when the fault shouldn't really be there in the first place.

ESPECIALLY as the loom cost me £120 and half a day to fit, due entirely to bad design

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

It's one of the things that 'can happen' and isn't really related to the loom design or cost.

You will need someone to reset the warning light though - there may be people near you with the necessary equipment reading this as I type!
