Which Key do I have?

Recommended Posts

After seeing the other fabia key thread I'm left wondering which key I have. It would seem as though my car should either have a flip key like every other VAG car or a 2 button non flip key. My key has one button and i'm pretty sure that the button is meant to be for a light, not that it ever worked.

I spent some time on Google looking at keys and I couldn't seem to find the exact key I have, so I figure I may ask here and hope to get a definative answer.

The button is for a light, try changing the battery.

I replaced the battery a while back and neglected to notice that the light is missing its bulb. I'll try the jewellers and the motor factors tomorrow.

Item 31 here https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2001-225/8/837-837000/

Or item 30 if there's no sign of a light source or coin cell holder.

31 looks to be it, thanks.

So its sort of a spare key? Would the local motor factors stock the bulb for it? The filament is gone from mine.

All new cars came with two keys. A Comfort spec car came with one remote key (non flip, two buttons) and one of these.
