Car is a 65 plate 2.0L TDi 190 manual. Anyone know the volume and type of oil? 

You need oil to VW 507 00, so 5w 30 FS III  (That is Long Life regardless of fixed or variable servicing.)

 

No idea of the quantity you need.

5.7 LITRES.

    @shyVRS245 Have a closer look to the other thread... Only 5.3L upon dry fill or 4.7L upon service fill. May be your fingers have merged both values in 5.7l... ;)

    Read a VW Passat 2.0TDi 2015 when the owner did his own servicing and VW claim 4.7 litres but he ended up using 6 quarts (0.95 quart per litre).
