Rear lights

Featured Replies

Yesterday, I had a very irate lady flashing her lights and me and pulled up along side shout abuse that I had no rear lights on! Looking down at the light switch it was illuminated and dismissed her as having a bad day. When I stopped, I thought I would check and sure enough, she was right! ( Sorry lady but no need to be aggressive!)  First thought was fuse gone, but looking in the handbook, discovered that the left and right side a fused separately so this shouldn't happen. I removed both fuses to check and both OK. No warning lights on dash even though handbook suggest there should be. I had the AA out to look at it and he was reluctant to start checking wiring as the car is only 2 months old and suggested getting it into Skoda dealer

Just wondered of anyone else has experienced this?

BTW, love the Infotainment message " Got all everything" :)

Was this in darkness?  The driving lights at the front will be on in daylight but there are no driving lights at the rear (at least on my Yeti).

If it was in darkness as farty asks, was the light switch in auto (if it has that feature)?

Initially it was in auto and am aware that only the front driving lights come on during the day, although I think they should come on in fog. But no, they don't come on in the manual positions either. Find it really odd as each side is fused separately and no warning lights.

Maybe the switch is faulty?
