Am I right in saying that's its located under the engine cover, just above the coils? If I'm up the wrong tree, can someone tell me where it is and if its a simple job of a few bolts and hoses?

Looking at the SSP (Self Study Programme) number 405 there is a picture of the N75 position on page 10.  This refers to the CAXA engine (with timing chain). 

 

I think the 1.4TSi was changed around 2012/3 to have a timing belt and I'm not familiar with that engine or layout.
