Hi everyone!

I'm trying to update the GPS maps with the skoda update https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ but it's being impossible. Where should connect the sd card? Does the car has a slot?? Someone know?

Just searched through the digital manual for 'update' and the following is given:

 

Updating the navigation database
Information for updating the navigation database
must be requested from a ŠKODA partner.
Automatic update
Infotainment automatically carries out an update if
the following conditions are met:
✓ The “Infotainment Online” online services are activated.
✓ An update of the navigation database for the current
vehicle position or route destination is available.
 

I don't believe there are SD card slots on this car (think the dealer mentioned it at handover).

Not a good sign if update is dealer only or subscription based online service. There are USB ports,you could just use a Usb stick/SD adaptor/appropriate cable.

 

I'm more inclined just to use Android Auto/Apple Carplay with Google maps rather than keep spending more money.

Just bought my new MK IV Octavia, and found it doesn't have sd card slot. So all map updates are via online subscription.  Very bad news.
