Window switch reversed....

Featured Replies

Since a battery replacement a while back, my passenger rear window works backwards (up to open, down to close) which is a pain but not the end of the world. How do I change it back to normal? X

Close the window, release switch then hold it in closed position for about five seconds.  This is the normal reset.

as above. the windows need to be reset after a battery change / running flat.

edit- the one touch open/close also wont work until they have been reset. open it all the way down and

then all the way up and wait a few seconds

At the risk of sounding stupid..... tried the above with no success. Tried it with the engine running, engine off ignition on, engine off ignition off, and it’s just not working! Am I missing something? I am getting the same faults on both rear doors on my OBD 11,  (which I have attached) but the drivers side rear door seems fine, it’s just the passenger side rear. Any ideas?x2C915B14-D305-4AA4-9AC1-ADD7862090CE.thumb.png.b2d3284f8c43fb65946949c3b0a1502a.png

Has some 'orrible sprog turned the switch upside down?

Have you clicked on "CLEAR FAULTS"?

it’s the same from the drivers window controls as the door controls, and only happened since replacing the battery.

Yeah these faults remain despite pressing ‘clear faults’, I also find it odd that it’s the same faults on both doors x

Likely to be software issue and needs recoding. After disconnecting and reconnecting the battery I had to have the driver's door lock recoded to make the entry light at the bottom of the door mirror active again. You are not the first to have this problem. The best thread is this:
