Help needed

Featured Replies

Guys before i make another drastic mistake when i purchase another skoda which will be used as a donor car for my rebuild project on my pick up i need a feww things clarified.

I am considering this extra purchase as i am finding it very difficult to source parts, where they can be obtained they are very costly so my idea was to get a semi scrap model and scavenge it for as many of the parts required as possible, having done this replace with all the knackered parts and scrap the donor vehicle, but it has caused me some problems as i dont quite know what would be the best model to go for to be able to get as many as possible of the parts i require from it.

My pick up is a vw/skoda 1.9 deisel model based on the Felicia i think on a p plate [at least the front end looks very similar to my neigbours felicia estate mosel which is on a v reg]

so my question is would the following parts be able to be used from a donor car and if so from what sort of registration year would suit best to be able to be unmodified and simple changed over direct

bonnet

headlights

seats [front]

shockies

brakes[disks]

gearselector

wheels pressumably alloys

foglights

carpet [would require cut obviously]

indicators

and dash panels and interior trim peices

So can anyone tell me what out of that i would be able to use and to be able to use the parts i require what model would i be best going for .

I also need to source 2 x sills for the pick up truck anyone know where i might get these from.

Cheers
