I must have something to do,got a Jeep engine.

This is going to be an art installation,,,,,in my kitchen.

Valve+spring assembly finished.

Trying to rig the rockers.....not quite easy.

Today`s job.

So I started with the outer valves, so I can get a straight line.

Very inspiring, you have a great imagination and the practical skills to realise it.

What did you do to get to and retain the silver finish on all the as cast areas?

 

Well pretty much all areas really, other than the cam lobes and crankshaft bearing surfaces everything would have been well blackened.

PS: There is no way Mrs Westbury would let me have one of those in her kitchen!

@Westbury63  Thanks for the appreciation.It would be fun to make a V2 engine like a Harley-Davidson.But it will be to much money.

For som reason I do not understand,,,,women do not seem to like internal combustion engines inside the house! Go figure.

A Harley engine would look good. V2....perhaps a Guzzi or Honda engine would be a lot cheaper? WIth boxer, BMW or Citroen 2 cyclinders.

Exactly.....that`s why I built my chopper in my bedroom when I lived with my parents.

Well I have a 1948 Dodge Leadsled  with a 6 cyl engine  

And a 1941 De Soto with a 3,7 Litre 6 -cylinder engine.Fully restored engine.

that refers to the Dodge as the posts overlapped.

 

Amazing how in one photo the rear looks twice as big as the front and in the other photo its the opposite.

The biggest difference is that my working cars have side valv engines.
