ECS canbus plug and play towbar wiring

Featured Replies

Hi,

Ive read and printed off all the wiring instructions, ecs, westfalia, witter, jager and im aware of where the wiring has to route down the side of the car.

How do you get the bottom door trims off as they are so secure and no visible screws? i dont want to snap and break the plastic or the clips if thats how they are fitted.

Do you just yank them and hope for the best?

Id recommend you don’t do it when it’s cold as this will increase the chance of breakage.

And if you’re fitting a towing module it’ll need coding to offer all of the features.

Hi, thanks for that, any idea which direction they clip or if theirs a knack to removing them?

I'm aware of the coding thanks & have 2 contacts with the relevent equipment for coding.

I have fitted a canbus plug & play loom before that needed coding on a Citroen but that came apart to fit the loom a lot easier than this yeti

When I did mine the car had towbar prep so I only had to remove the trim in the boot to access the pre-fitted wiring loom.  That was a bit awkward but not difficult - sorry, I don’t know about the front trim.

Ah I see, this unfortunately hasn't got towbar prep.

I've done all the bits in the boot and replaced
