You can use any switch units that are Tuya smart the ones I have used are by Milfra and I got them from Amazon the ones I am using are the TB41 but there are many.

It has…

I’m fairly certain the external light circuits had to have switched live and neutral when we had some work done.

I’m guessing there sort of things are your preferred route:

That appeared to be the same as another I’d looked at but at a lesser price. I love a bargain!

To cap it all it works via an app that I currently use (in addition to the suggested app) so that’s a winner too.

As it needs an appreciably bigger back box (35mm recommended but used 45mm instead) I’ve had a bit of SDS chopping out to do. Patching up and remedial work nearly done. Wish it had been thought about when the area was decorated less than 3 months ago though! 🖌️

Do you already have any smart home devices or any hubs?

Plenty of devices but no hubs. 👍

I have an EmonPi from open energy that does the solar and controls the PHEV charging via MQTT and gets its TOU info from an API to Octopus

I also have a Pi running Home Assistant that picks info from the MQTT info. The Tuya app also gets data from its devices that controls heating and lighting from anywhere.

I also have a Zigbee hub but do not have any devices that talk to it as the temperature sensor I was using with it was not that great.

They call all talk to Alexa or Google but do not have any of them yet.

I did build a 7" display module based on Arduino that displays my power info and outside temp, has a graph and a pie chart on it so I can see at a glance if I am using more than the solar is producing.
