Front Interior lights stuck on.

Featured Replies

In addition to my water ingress problem, now temporarily fixed by Gaffer tapeing the panoramic roof joints. I went out this morning, in the severe frost, and hit a quiet deep pothole, the jolt bought on the front interior lights, which wouldn't go out until I got home and opened and closed the tailgate, also the ideogram on the center panel which lights up and indicates an open door was illuminated but not showing any open doors, that went out too. The question is does anyone know how this system works? On my previous cars there's been a rubber covered plunger switch which is activated on opening or closing a door. I can only assume there's some kind of electronic sensor, sensing when a door is open or closed. Thanks in advance for any forth coming advice.
