Updating SE software questions.

I noticed an “update software” choice in the settings menu.

When I went in it found nothing connected so it doesn’t want to do it via my phone’s 4g connection.  I’m assuming this is a dealer plug-in thing, is it worth doing?  Does a newer software version give anything else or is it a case or if it’s not broken don’t fix it?

Is that the MY21 Bolero rather than the Amundsen? As my MY21 Amundsen shows Device part number: 3V0035820B; Hardware: H22; Software: 0270.

If your Info system is permanently online, then officially it should update itself online when you press 'Update software'. On mine at least that then gives you an option of three things to check for update. But having said that, the only update mine has done was chosen and installed automatically. (Don't know what it was, but it didn't take long, so wasn't the map update.)

If however you have the MY20 systems (with SD card slots in the glovebox, you can update it yourself via the Skoda Update portal and an SD card.

Cheers, will have a look at the update portal and see what’s there.  Still feeling a little nervous re updating.  Plus will have to find an old SD card, haven’t seen any of mine in years.

PS And yes, I think it is Bolero with the slot, 2020 MY SE.
