Sachs only have a history of 126 years making automotive parts; what could they possibly know?

Yes old Sachs were awesome, including their ****els (I don't know why it hides it) but now they aren't so good

Yes but oe parts undergo much stricter quality control, than aftermarket parts even by the same manufacturer.

I think it depends on manufacturer. For example, INA accessory belt tensioner for TDI is identical part with Gates bearing, only difference is VW part numbers grinded away.

But if Sachs is not able to keep quality of 80's Slovak factory (Sachs Slovakia, which supplied clutch sets for Felicia, was formerly TAZ - clutch supplier for Favorit), it really went downhill.

I have the parts but old clutch hasn't given up the ghost, haha approaching 140.000km,

That can't be the clutch itself. You are a good driver. Your Felicia is lucky to have you as its owner. :)

Yes well thank you, my father mostly drives the car and 70% of the total distance it covers are on the open road so yes.

But clutch is very close to quitting I mean it does not slip but engagment is really getting soft and slow.

I bet at 145.000km is goint to bite the dust, meanwhile I have the new parts because I dont want the car to be driven aroung with a slipping clutch.

I dont want to damage the flywheel.

Fun fact, even my Alfa MiTo has 190.000km on the original clutch so it seems like, as a family we really arent clutch eaters hahaha

Women with high heel shoes are the main ''guilty'' on damaged clutches.
