Stopped suddenly in the down position. Not sure if I've pressed something unusual? Hit the 'reset button on the wiper arm - not sure what that does - no effect.

 

Any help appreciated folks.

yep checked - no difference - whats the significance of that? Thank you

Check for a broken fuse. 

if not a fuse or fuse keeps blowing, could be motor died (sometimes the park position sensors wear out) likely a broken wire somewhere.

had several break on my 2008. Drivers side door and tailgate.
