Mudflaps fitted

Featured Replies

Just fitted front and rear mudflaps to the vrs so thought I'd post a few pics for fellow members

Took around 20 mins to fit without wheel removal.

Sourced from superskoda at 15 euro a pair which is significantly cheaper than dealer prices

They do sit out a bit proud by design as they have integrated spacer lips

All in all I'm happy and they will offer protection and make the rear lower portion of the car look that bit wider

Did exactly the same today. It took me a bit more time since it was -5 °C outside and at half way I needed to go inside to warm up my hands.

I take it, judging by the time it took you to fit them, they fit straight onto existing mountings?

Fronts need an extra fitting and a 6.5mm hole drilled

Rears also have an extra fitting to secure

All very straightforward

@parsey83 thanks, will look at ordering some when I get mine.

Do these damage paintwork grit and dirt getting trapped between mud lap and the body of the car

Is there any increase of wind noise or fuel consumption after fitting the mudflaps?

I have not noticed any decrease or increase or visa versa since fitting mine two months ago.

Thanks. I have them for a while, but still haven't gotten round to installing them. Mine is 1.5 tsi in lava blue, standard ride height, so I was thinking of how it would look like.

Primary goal was to save the car from road spray and salt in wintery weather.

Hi.

i have just purchased a 2024 VRS MK4 (Not 4.5). Same as your car. I want to fit the same mud flaps to mine. Could you tell me the part numbers you ordered from Kopacek (Formally SuperSkoda)?

Many thanks

Tony

I got mine from SkodaPartsDirect and the part numbers were 5E3075111 for the front and 5E3075101 for the rear. Although they are easy to fit, you might need a right angle adaptor on the drill and probably a short drill bit to avoid removing the wheel because you need to drill the arch and space is restricted with the wheel in place. You can pick up cheap adaptors easily from your favourite online store:

I got mine from Kopacek: https://www.kopacek.com/skoda/octavia-iv/mud-flaps/

I found with the front wheels on full lock I didn't need a right angle adapter, but it would certainly have made it a bit easier!

Overall, pretty quick and easy to fit and definitely reduces the road spray/crap on the car.
