Stuttering/Juddering under acceleration

Featured Replies

2012 MkII Octavia VRS Diesel - So far garage has had car 9 weeks, initially thought it was the ECU, sent to two different specialists to no avail.

It's an intermittent fault, sometimes you can drive for miles trouble free, next time you've only gone 100 yards and it's juddering like a learner on the kangaroo petrol. It's not all the time, and there's no specific speed, revs or gear that it happens at, just comes and goes.

Any thoughts?

If there are no codes, make sure the in-tank fuel pump runs reliably.

They can become intermittent.

What is the engine type?

No idea what that is mate? :(

Although I suspect being a 2012 model it'll be a CR type rather than the older PD variety I am trying to confirm this by identifying the engine code.

Perhaps you could search on how to identify your car's engine code.
