Quantum is a VW group owned spares brand, as I understand it, not an oil manufacturer.  Quantum oil is currently manufactured by Fuchs, I believe. Used to be Castrol for a while if I remember rightly.

It's good value from ebay, and obviously is approved to the various VW specs. I've used little else in the last five or so years.

Thank you mate I'm going to be using 0 20-w when you look at it on eBay or other site does it come in the cardboard box or is that just a box for the plastic one inside it yep I think I will go for that I'm doing a a service at 1500 miles in between the main dealer service with genuine parts I don't trust all that metal flying around in there are because I am going to be keeping the vehicle for 12 years the garage that deliver the car is 300 miles away thank you for confirming all the best

The 5W40 I bought recently came in same cube box with a 'winebox-like' thick plastic bladder inside it.  Saves on plastic I guess.   Haven't used it yet so can't comment on how easy it is to pour out of that arrangement, but when I looked inside I thought "that'll be OK".

I buy Quantum oil from TPS when they have a promo, the cube packs have a bladder inside and a delivery tap like a winebox, you have to ripe open a perforated flap to tease it out, take your time with it as its easy to rip the cardboard which has to be folded back to retain the tap.

A Wino will have no problems with the cube, you could do it with your eyes closed (or bloodshot) :D

I very rarely drink out of wineboxes actually. Portion size is a bit large... (Except on special occasions) :D

They were my downfall I am ashamed to admit

A great idea for those that are able to practice moderation but not for me.

The local wine "grossiste" would supply re-usable ones as large as the quantum oil boxes, once emptied you could just go and refill them from the huge stainless steel vessels that looked like half size silos.

Cheap but not as cheap as abstinence.

As others have said Quantum is currently made by Fuchs, so good quality and price.

Fuchs have not even done special brews for Qunatum, it is just re branded Fuchs product
